From bats to horses, from insects to chimpanzees, a lot of deadly viruses originated in an animal host. In his last book, Spillover, the American science writer David Quammen tells the stories of some of these viruses. We reached him at the Festival della Scienza in Genoa, where he was going to present the book, and asked him some questions.

Com'è stato il clima del 2025 in Italia e in Europa?
Il 2025 è stato un anno caldo per l'Italia e l'Europa, che si inserisce nella tendenza di riscaldamento in atto ormai da anni. Ne risentono gli oceani e i ghiacci montani, che registrano record stagionali considerevoli. Allo stesso tempo le tecnologie "pulite" aumentano, anche se si potrebbe fare meglio: l'inerzia climatica non deve demotivare.
