Silvio Garattini

Silvio Garattini

Born in Bergamo on November 12, 1928, he is a chemist and physician. In 1963, he founded the Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research, where he currently serves as director. He is a member of Gruppo 2003, an association of the most highly cited Italian researchers, and possesses extensive expertise in pharmacology, chemotherapy, and pharmaceutical research policy.
