Rino Rappuoli

Head of research at Novartis Vaccines & Diagnostics and one of the world’s leading authorities on vaccines. A member of the US National Academy of Sciences and of other prestigious scientific societies, in 2009 he received the Sabin Gold Medal, the highest recognition in the field of vaccinology, awarded for the first time to a European scientist.
