Margherita Fronte

A biology graduate, she carried out research in neuroscience and later specialised in science journalism at the Master in Science Communication at SISSA in Trieste. She has written for the major Italian newspapers and magazines (Il Corriere della Sera, L’Espresso, La Stampa, L’Unità and others) and since 2004 has been part of the editorial team of Focus, where she mainly covers medicine and biology. She has collaborated on television and radio programmes and is the author of about ten science books and a science textbook for middle schools. Among her awards: the Merck-Serono literary prize and the Omar prize for quality medical journalism.
