Chiara Soletti
Chiara studied at the University of Padua in Italy, graduating in 2012 with a Master’s in Human Rights and Peace Policies and Institutions. Her passion for human rights protection and international relations led her to London for an internship in human rights education at Amnesty International’s International Secretariat. After that experience she decided to stay in the UK and found work in the third sector.
While working as project manager for a charity, she became Coordinator of the Women, Rights and Climate section of Italian Climate Network (ICN), an Italian non-profit working on climate change awareness. During her three years with ICN she helped build activities exploring the links between climate change and human rights, with a particular focus on gender issues. She attended UNFCCC COP21, COP22, SBI46 and COP23 as an observer, monitoring the introduction of human rights principles in the implementation of the Paris Agreement, working with the Women and Gender Constituency and delivering a statement at the closing plenary of COP23.
